All About Relaxing

The owners of this campground strive to make their guests feel at home.  The welcome package includes locally-made jam and customized directions and suggestions.  We called them when we left the interstate and someone met us in a golf cart and led us through the gate to our site.

The office is more bed and breakfast than camp store.

The park is small and does not allow long-term residents.

A blackboard at each site lets everyone know who’s who.

In Mobile

We’d heard about the A&M Peanut Shop downtown and happened upon it on our way to lunch.

This peanut roaster may have something to do with the great flavor–or it could be the freshness of the still-warm nuts.

Dave had just found a geocache near this sign in Bienville Square.

Rouses Supermarkets is a regional chain with a presence in Mobile.  We don’t remember ever seeing a sign for roux before.

This is a grocery store that honors its Cajun and Creole seasonings!
