November 27-December 14, 2017

You may remember from our visit to Decatur and REV around Labor Day that tiles were not available to replace ones damaged by the slide.

The name was the same but the color was different so REV agreed to replace the floor.

Demolition took a week.  The following had to be removed:  Driver’s seat, passenger’s seat, driver’s slide, toilet, pantry, hall cupboard, drawers, any trim piece that met the floor.

Tile was installed the second week.  We appreciate that the crew put the tile on the diagonal.

In the pictures above and below, you can see light above the cabinets and under the couch where the slide is actually removed from the coach.

Progress!

The tile was grouted the third week and we moved back in 12/14, spending the night in the REV parking lot.  The temperature dropped to 12 that night and we were grateful for our heated mattress pad.

We love how the new tile looks and appreciate the crew’s attention to detail and craftsmanship.

We found a couple of items that needed adjusting and the coach was driven back in to the repair bay at 6 a.m. 12/15.   Work was finished and we were on the road by 9 a.m., headed to somewhere warmer.

Amazing. Everything looks like new. I can’t believe what they had to do to accomplish all of this. It must feel like you are in a new coach. Travel safely. Let us know where you land for the winter.
