Since this was our third visit to Las Vegas we let the search for interesting geocaches guide our choice of activities. We didn’t see a show, risk a penny on a game of chance, or eat at a buffet, but we saw some interesting and beautiful things, and we had a great time.

We climbed Exploration Peak and established that Las Vegas is made up of many sand-colored neighborhoods…
…and the Strip. Las Vegas also is made up of the Strip.
We explored a little cave on Exploration Peak (for a geocache, of course).
We ran into another geocacher (just behind Jane).

And we did visit the Strip. Yes, there are geocaches there.

Jane thinks Dave should always take her picture with the wide-angle turned sideways. The lion? See the next photo.

M&M’s are available in the store in bulk bins. You pull a lever and can fill a cellophane bag with M&M’s flavored with toffee, coffee, brownie, mint, and dark chocolate–among other flavors. You do not want to know how much these weighed. It was just a few of each interesting flavor!
One of our all-time favorite caches was at the Special Memory Wedding Chapel. The cache, like the weddings there, was drive through.
The ammo box hosting the log and travelbugs is decorated with white lace and the log book is a wedding guest book.
We didn’t make reservations to visit the Neon Boneyard Park so we couldn’t go inside, but we could see some of the retired signs from the street.
The Aladdin Casino closed in 1997 but its neon lamp has been preserved.
Likewise, although the Silver Slipper Casino is gone, its sign now graces the Strip.
