Dave found Kentucky’s oldest geocache on a day that broke a 120-year old high temperature record. According to the Weather Service, it felt like 109 degrees. At least the cache was in the shade.
We visited the Falls of the Ohio State Park and Interpretive Center in Clarksville, Indiana
The Falls of the Ohio Interpretive Center is at the site of the only natural drop on the Ohio River’s 981 mile length. This building is designed to suggest the geology of the area: Layers of rock and faults.

This sculpture shows William Rogers Clark meeting Meriwether Lewis. One third of the Corps of Discovery left from this location in 1803.
The rock base of the Lewis and Clark statue contained amazing crinoid fossils.
Other rocks at the park also contained fossils like this coral.
“Strawberry” Moon our last night in the Louisville area. We stayed at a beautiful state park in Charlestown, Indiana.
