The only Caravan activity this day was an early-evening drivers’ meeting. We drove east of Quebec to the city of Lévis. We had just parked when a resident out walking struck up a conversation with us about where we were from and offered a warm welcome to Quebec.
Lévis is home to a national historic site, Forts Lévis, one of a series of three forts build along the St. Laurence River to defend Canada from the United States during the U.S. Civil War. Only this fort remains of the three. All were obsolete before completion.
The museum was very well put-together and the staff was welcoming and helpful.
