October 14-15, 2017

The Lake County Folk Festival turned 20 this year.  That’s 20 years of music, crafts, arts, and food vendors–and no admission charge.  Kudos to Public Arts and Music, the non-profit that keeps this festival going!  Venues include porches, tents, the art museum, a theatre, restaurants, and the wonderful Alice B. McClellan Band shell in Ferran Park on Lake Eustis.

Here are some of the performers we enjoyed (their presence here indicates we remembered to get a photo).

Lake Eustis Players Area Dulcimer Players in the Lake Eustis Museum of Art

Chuck Hardwick, Florida songs in the Art Museum jam tent

Dulcinea’s Music in the Alexander Park Jam Tent

Mindy Simmons and friends relocated from the porch of the Bay St. Brewery to the railroad tracks

Bob Lusk (from St. Lucie County) in Valentina’s Restaurant

Doug Spears on the porch of the Bay Street Brewery

Jerry Mincey on the railroad tracks

2PM in the Bay Street Theater

Closing with “Circle of Song” by Ken Skeens

Unfortunately, we didn’t get pictures of Laura Lanou, a friend from Fort Pierce, and her cousin Bunny Ely, but we had another great festival together.  [We’re habitual attendees at the Florida Folk Festival each year.]

We did get some photos of scenery in and around the park.
