We had a few experiences in Lee Vining that weren’t part of more major adventures. We’ll share them here.

This picture shows the scrapes and chips the Jeep windshield has suffered since it was replaced three years ago. Fortunately, we don’t ALWAYS drive into the sun.
This might be both one of the most true and least true signs ever.
We liked this golden hour shot.
We found two caches way above Lee Vining and Mono Lake that hadn’t been found in about three years. Four-wheel drive WAS required.
The sun was trying to show itself before setting.
This house was built–upside down–by Nellie Bly O’Bryan as a tourist attraction on Highway 395. O’Bryan was an actress and Hollywood’s first female projectionist. The house was later moved to the grounds of the historical museum in Lee Vining.
A geocache took us to an undeveloped hot springs near Mono Lake.

Hey, folks. Mighty pretty country! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Thanks, Jay. Thanksgiving was very pleasant and lasted nearly forever. Pro tip: Make sure your turkey is completely defrosted to avoid eating at 9:30 p.m. Fortunately, we did not have guests.

Your thanksgiving reminded me of the one year I had it in Gainesville and nothing cooked at the same time. Ate the other stuff and turkey was not done until late. Are all the chips in the windshield of the jeep from your RV throwing rocks up into the windshield.

Most of the rock chips were thrown up by the RV but some of them occurred when we were in the car. We’ve traveled some interesting roads.
