We were meeting Jane’s niece Liz Reeves in Ludlow, Massachusetts for supper so we headed up from our base in Hartford, Connecticut to see what geocaches might be nearby.

We happened upon this sculpture of Anne Sullivan and Helen Keller in Springfield near where Anne was born.
The Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden was fun. Theodor Seuss Geisel used the pen name Dr. Seuss and lived in Springfield.
The Sculpture Garden featured some familiar characters and an Adventure Lab took us to other Dr. Seuss-related locations.

Another cache was called “Take-a-Look” and took us to the Springfield Library. Does anyone else remember the theme song from Reading Rainbow?

The geocache was hidden in this “book”.
After a day of caching we moved on to Ludlow where Jane’s niece Liz Reeves and her partner Roger hosted us at a wonderful Portuguese Restaurant. We could have talked all night!
