The route on Interstate 75 from Florida to Chattanooga is a familiar one–Jane figures she’s traversed it about 70 times–but there’s always something to notice and often conditions requiring adaptations.

This trip our interest was piqued by a box truck claiming to be “The Snow Kings”.  Later research showed this company provides–you guessed it–snow for parties, movies and other events.

We had worried about getting through Atlanta–often congested but made more difficult by our combined vehicle lengths of 60 feet.  This time we didn’t experience any problems until stop/slow/go north of the city.  We used a temporary stop to switch drivers and finished the 400 miles from Lake City to Chattanooga mid-afternoon.

Tennessee wasn’t the only welcome we received.  Jane’s brother Jon, his wife Nancy, and their Shih-Tzu Carly (The Carnivore) provided great company and the first of what would become many excellent meals in Chattanooga.
